Questions we get in Lafayette
Our driveway is steep and narrow. Is that a problem?
Usually not, but it's worth mentioning when you book. We need the car on ground level enough to work around safely and a spot for the van that doesn't block your neighbors. If the driveway is too tight, a flat spot on the street nearby works just as well.
What does the Caldecott commute actually do to paint?
It leaves a fine, even layer of road film and brake dust that bonds to the clear coat. Washing lifts the loose part; the bonded part needs a chemical decontamination and a clay bar, which is the Full Detail. Sealed paint then holds off the next few months of it much better.
Can you get pine needles out of the vents and seals?
Yes, and it's worth asking for. Needles collect in the cowl at the base of the windshield and in the door seals, where they trap water and eventually cause rust and smell. Compressed air clears them out; it's part of the Full Detail and the Interior Reset.
Do you work in Lafayette in winter?
Yes. Rain moves appointments more than the season does — we'll reschedule if the weather makes the work pointless. A garage with the door open works fine on a wet day if you have one.
