Headlight restoration, both lenses.
AAA lab-tested cloudy headlights against new ones: about 20% of the light output. We sand and seal both lenses as a $120 add-on that rides along with whatever package you book — no separate trip, no separate appointment.
What the $120 covers
- Both headlight lenses — never priced per side
- Lens washed and degreased, surrounding paint and seals masked off
- Wet sanding through the grit sequence to remove the degraded surface layer
- Machine polish back to clarity
- Sealed afterward — bare polished polycarbonate has no UV protection and hazes again fast
- Added at step 3 of the booking form, to any package
What it is, and what it isn't
This is a same-visit add-on, not a multi-day refinishing job. The most durable method that exists — a 2K polyurethane clear coat cured over several days — is a different scope and isn't what $120 buys. If your lenses are heavily degraded, cracked, or fogged on the inside of the housing, say so when you book: internal condensation and cracks aren't fixable by polishing at all, and we'd rather tell you that up front than sand a lens that needs replacing. The full breakdown of methods, AAA's numbers and how long each approach lasts is in our headlight restoration guide.

What are you driving?
Size sets the price. If you're between two, pick the larger one — we'll confirm on arrival.
Be honest — this sets how much time we block out, and heavy soiling adds to the price. We would much rather bring extra time than rush your car.
Biohazards or heavy off-road residue sit outside this scale — if we find them on arrival, we'll flag a separate $50 fee before starting.
Anything to add?
All optional. Skip this step if you're not sure — we'll flag anything needed before we start, never after.
When suits you?
Live availability from our calendar. Dim days are closed, already booked or outside the booking window.
Where are we coming?
We need one parking space and room to walk around the car.

We've got it. We'll confirm your time by text or a quick call — usually within the hour during business hours. Need us sooner? Call or text (925) 263-6615.

Frequently asked questions
Can I book just the headlights, without a detailing package?
No — it's an add-on, so it attaches to a Mini Detail, Full Detail or Interior Reset rather than being booked on its own. That's what keeps it at $120: the van is already at your address for the main job.
Is the price per headlight or for both?
For both. $120 covers the pair — we don't price it per side.
How long will it stay clear?
That depends on the sealing method and how much sun the car lives in, and we'd rather not quote a number we can't stand behind for your specific lenses. What we can say plainly: polishing without sealing hazes again within weeks, which is why sealing is part of the job and not an upsell. The durability ranges for every method are laid out in our full guide.
My headlights look foggy on the inside. Will this fix it?
No. Condensation inside the housing, cracks in the lens, or a degraded reflector need replacement or repair — sanding the outside surface does nothing for any of them. Send a photo when you book and we'll tell you which one you're looking at.
Not sure which package? Send photos.
Three fields and a couple of pictures. We come back with the right package and an exact price — usually within the hour during business hours.
